What Is Drop Shipping? Is It Any Good?

I have noticed alot of people talk about “drop shipping” on ebay, as a way to make extra income. What is it? Is it genuine and any good? Anyone had any experience of it? Thanks x

In effect, you sell the item and then pass the order onto the ‘drop shipper’ who will ship it direct to the cusrtomer ..
+ you don’t have to keep stock (you only pay for what sells)
+ you don’t have the hassel of packing & posting
- many drop shippers ship from outside UK / EU = so the cusonmer gets very upset when they get stung for unexpected Customs and VAT charges…
- it’s your feedback rating when the customer gets upset
- redfunds come out of your account (eg PayPal) so you carry the can when something goes wrong
and yes… there are good drtop shippers and bad ones … and outright fraudsters .. and sorting out the good from the rest can be a real problem (they all trade on-line and even when they publish an address, are you going to visit Hong Kong to check them out ??)
It means they take an item off the shelf that is already boxed and ready to send and ship it out.
Yes, in theory, you can make good income and it is genuine. But like with any job, the more effort you put into it, the more income you get out of it.
