The more I observe Obama the more certain I am that I was right when I characterized him as a Marxist. Apparently his liberal base are now talking about something called “shared sacrifice” as a justification to steal their money through excessive taxation. The basis of Marxism is “from each according to his abilitiy to each according to his need.” I see a conspiracy here to both purposely cause a massive inflation along with an attack by terrorist elements so he can take absolute power and suspend all constitutional rights. He’s using the same tactics as the trotskyites did before the October Revolution. Ok, you might wonder how such a young person as I would know so much about it. Especially one with an occasional “flighty” lapse from reality (see my last two questions for an example of that lol). Ok, I have always had an interest in the Soviet System and in Communism in general. Here’s the source of my compelling interest. It’s the story of one of my Great Great Grandmothers. Ok, in 1916 a 15 year old girl from an Orthodox Jewish family was living in a shetle in the Pale of Russia. Her Rabbi asked her to accept a match with a 16 year old boy who was drafted and about to leave for the Eastern Front. He was from a nearby village and his parents begged for a quick wedding so he would at least go away married which could ultimately allow him to be discharged. She met him and he was tall and handsome and she immediately fell in love with him. She agreed to marry him and that night (they married after only meeting the same day) he consummated their marriage. The next day he left. She would write to him and at first she got letters. By 1917 the letters stopped and word got to her from deserters who returned that that her husband perished. Meanwhile that one night together got her pregnant with two twin boys one of which became my great grandfather. She prayed with all the fervor of an Orthodox fervor for the safety of her husband but when she accepted that he was dead her anger towards G-d and grief to the boy she married made her turn away from religion. She became a Bolshevik, was part of the Revolution and became a midlevel Commissar. In the 1930s Stalin decided to purge the Party of its Jews and she was exiled to Siberia. On the way she died. Her boys were living with their grandparents at that time so they were safe.
Ok, I saw Obama for what he really was and voted for McCain and Palin. The only thing that really surprises me is that he’s working so fast to destabilize our Country. I would have thought that he would do it in a more extended pace to give him time to neutralize the opposition. Ok, this is what you can expect and its the strategy that Leon Trotsky would have used. The massive spending and taxing of the rich will cause runaway inflation. He will look the other way and allow some terrorist group to attack America. He will declare martial law and suspend all constitutional rights. This will be followed with a dictatorship of the proleteriat.
All of you who voted for Obama will get “change you can NOT believe in.”

It is beyond me how you manage to connect economic issues with dumping the Constitution.. somewhere in there, does it state that it is illegal for the stock market to crash?
Try some research. The economy has been getting shaky for the last 20 yrs AT LEAST. The stock market is a glorified form of gambling. Nothing more, nothing less. I don’t like what I’ve seen the govt doing in other areas, which adds to the instability.. but it has been tanking for years.

Excellent story! And yes, that is exactly what he is doing. Like you, I thought we would have a little time to at least take in what he is doing–but he is going at the speed of light trying to spend us into a hole. His minions keep accepting it as “just how it is” and blame it on Bush. Either people are going to wake up and come to the American side or continue to play partisan politics and have to make some agonizing decisions later. The only person who is going to take care of you and your family ultimately…is YOU. Expecting the government to swoop in and fix it all is exactly what they would like. Child, first of all – before you call anyone a Marxist or anything else, go read the books. Begin with Marx’s Communist Manifesto, then go to Capital Vol 1, 2, 3. If you make it through those (which describe the evolution of our Capitalist existence) then read the Grunrisse a well. (sorry if there are any misspellings, I type very fast)
Second, there is no way Obama can do any more damage than was done over the last 8 years to destabilize our economy, our safety, and our standing in the world. How do you start a fight you can’t win? You go pick on more than one person, in their house, when their friends don’t like you. That was the former administration’s plan and it worked and now we’re in a fight with multiple countries with limited military, and people who were behind us in 2001 are now wary of us in 2009. As a result, the world view of the stability of of our economy tanked (again, see Marx Gruinrisse) and the value of the dollar tanked. You travel overseas and people see us as wild, unpredictable, and capable of rash action that damanges everyone involved, and no one wants to invest in us when we behave that way!
The former administration also continued to send jobs overseas (or allow companies to flee our demands for healthcare, adequate treatment for workers and a 401K when we retire), so the flood of money that used to flow into our economy is now flowing into the economic pocket of rich people in poor contries who cannot fight for their rights. Also, the former admin’s refusal to take to task the very wealthy who stripped us of our future, means that the cushions that kept our grandparents afloat will not comfort our parents and we will probably drown ourselves.
Pure Capitalism? You want the pure capitalism of McCain & Palin? That system means we ALL go down painfully and in great anguish. You only have to actually READ Marx to know this. Marx was not a wildman, he was a scholar with a PhD whose work is continuously pulled into pieces for random justification that does not consider how much he wrote, the context in which he wrote, and how nuanced were the arguments. I make nothing up, if you refuse to believe me and cling to the comfort of old ideas, you deny the facts.
Pure Capitalism of McCain and Palin? No One in the world has that anymore because, Without Fail, it topples over into dictatorship, revolution, extreme poverty, and war. Again, I make nothing up – you can go read all of this between the great historians and scholars of the 18th & 19th Century.
Oh and the dictatorship of the Proletariat you predict? First, there is no proletariat as he thought of it, the system is far far far more complex and interconnected than it used to be.
Second, Even Marx eventually admitted that the triumph of the proletariat could never happen with our relationship to Capitalism – its impossible! Every country that has attempted an alleged “proletariat rule” since Marx’s death has failed horribly.
The way to avoid that failure and sustain a country long term and in healthy fashion and keep Capitalism afloat (even as it tries to take us all down – it requires extreme failure to work, again, i make nothing up, go read the texts, heck even an econ 101 text book) again, the way to avoid failure, is to balance Capitalism with programs that look out for people so they are not trodden into the dust. The very reason we can spend time on the internet working thru these issues is becasue of that Magical Balance between Capitalist desires and Human needs!
Additionally, doubt not the strength of our institutions to preserve the way the country has existed for decades – in a flow of war & peace, prosperity and poverty, advancement and recession – and keep us going for a very very long time to come. The only way we Would Fail, is if Obama did nothing and allowed Capitalism to run us down like a rabbit on the side of the road by the other countries of the world as they turn us into their pet project, buying off pieces of us one by one.
Obama is attempting to save us from that (at the request of these big businesses by the way – you do know they are asking for money to save themselves right? And you know that in other successful european countries these attempts to save commerce by the goverment are what save the country?) and for his attempt to save us when he could let us fail, we should all be grateful!

And PS: If you think that there is a ‘constitutional’ right to fight inflation, you disagree with your own party that only believes in what is written in the constitution. Arguing that the 10th amendment prevents federal power is one thing. Arguing for a right against ‘inflation’ is just dumb.

As for “excessive taxation” – Obama is proposing CGT and Income tax rates lower than Reagan campaigned on in 1980 – does that make Reagan a Marxist.
As for warnings of massive inflation – it is actually going the other way – we are facing a strong deflationary pressure due to the slowing of credit markets.

The part about the president looking away and allowing a terroist group to attack the United States was the only rational thought in your whole rant, problem is it already happened, in 2001. Eight months after Bush took office, after continually being warned by the CIA, including a memo titled, ‘Obama to attack inside US using commercial airplanes,’ he casually ignored it and continued his bike rides on vacation!!
