Do You Guys Think You Did Good On The Ap Language And Composition Exam This Year?

I have to say, I was pretty impressed with myself overall, no matter what grade I get on the exam, because I did try my best.
The multiple choice part was mediocre for me, even though it’s my weakest. I had a lot of “gut” feelings when I answered the questions, and felt pretty confident about them.
I did guess on the last 5 questions because I was running out of time, though. I just went “C, C, C, C, C” straight down…
But anyways, I feel really good about the essay portion. For the Space exploration one, I used 5 sources, and linked them with one another while addressing the importance of those sources in my essay. Did anyone use the one with the photograph? I had no clue on how to use that source.
I felt the 2nd essay was the easiest. I love analyzing essays and figuring out what kind of strategies the author used to appeal to the audience. The essay was pretty straight forward, and the anti-environmentalist and the environmentalist’s point of view from the author was very convincing, no matter which side he took on.
The third essay about adversity was alright to me. I basically said that adversity strengthens one self to be a stronger person.
I wrote 7 pages in total. I can’t wait to see what I made on this AP test! I also took AP US History, which was a complete crap shot. I Christmas tree’d the multiple choice, and didn’t write any essays, but only a story about unicorns.
How do you guys think you did?
I thought it wasn’t that bad. The multiple choice is never easy, but it wasn’t extremely bad. My essays were pretty good. I rocked the Space exploration one and the rhetorical analysis essay. The argument one was ok. I was just excited that it was a Horace quote since I also took the AP Latin Literature Exam (even though I did Ovid). Overall, I’m thinking a 3 or 4. If I’m lucky I might get a 5.
why the hell would you do a crap shot on the apush test, idiot. you might have gotten a 3, way to waste $85. it was easy.
idiot.
We were taught to use sources as minor highlights of our arguments, and not to let them intrude too much on our narration. This strategy makes it so that you don’t have to actually quote one of the sources, but kind of gloss over the same things mentions, and then just put (source A) at the end of your sentence. Basically, this allows you to just state anything you want, such as “The American Space Agency, NASA, launches its rockets to promote global scientific betterment*” and then cite the image of a shuttle blasting off as an example. The environmentalist essays were funny, and I understood it well enough to describe the author’s main rhetorical strategies for 3 or 4 pages. Horace, unfortunately, I’m entirely unfamiliar on, and may have failed entirely.
8.25 pages overall, and I’m pretty sure I got a respectable multiple choice grade to boot.
*Not the same sentence I used, just an example.
Well I did better than you, considering I know enough grammar to know that you can’t “do good” on anything, but you can “do well”. Also the second essay wasn’t asking about the arguments presented in each of the cases of the environmentalist and anti-environmentalist. The question was asking how the writer ridiculed both parties and made fun of them, not whether or not they made good arguments. You third essay sounds redundant though. No offense.
I thought it was pretty easy. I had 2 AP exams that day and they both had 2 hours of writing, so it was a pretty tiring day, but that one was first, so I was bright eyed and bushy tailed for it.
My first two essays were 3 pages each and my second one was 2 pages, The high scoring essays are usually 3 pages and 2 page ones sometimes get 6’s, so I think I’m okay. Our proctor accidentally told us that we had 10 minutes left when we had 30, so I rushed for a while, but I went back and improved that are and ended up with time to spare.
The multiple choice was all really easy. I finished it with lots of time to check over stuff. The last reading for the multiple choice section was one of the most beautiful essays I’ve ever read. I wish I could remember some of what it said so I could google it and find out where its from . Oh well.
I took 4 APs this year. I think I got 5’s on English Lang, Art History, and Human Geography, but I have no idea how I did on Calculus BC.
