I fully understand the risk vs return principle—but how long can we continue to do business with government that could potentially turn “against” foreign investors? The closest example I have is with Cuba’s revolution and their nationalization of Texaco’s refineries after Fidel took total power. From a purely business standpoint, such companies like Texaco lost big from such a loss-how can we protect our investments in China–if China decides it’s in their best interest to nationalize American or English, etc owned properties and plants? Any ideas or thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks!

hello,
I have to transfer 2,000 USD to China and they will do bank transfer. How do I go about doing it? Can I do it online? Can I do it by phone, or do I have to go to my bank in person? If I owe my supplier 2,000 usd for instance, do I transfer them 2000 usd or what? (Currency conversion)
Thanks

I recently spoke to a Man (in passing at starbucks) and he said he was making money by selling wholesale items on his personal website and using a drop ship company. but when I look online everyone is trying to be the middle man and take advantage. Anyone out there know a real whole sale drop ship company that I can trust?

Yes, but make sure you get the right kind. Some are only good for hair styling tools and not good for computers. Some are good for low wattage (razors, iPod chargers, etc) and not good for high wattage (hair dryers, irons, etc).
For some products, like laptops, you may only need a plug adapter — it may already be able to use the Euro voltage (check the power supply to make sure). Plug adapters are much cheaper than voltage converters.
Of course, you can’t use a North America TV in Europe. And most things that require an accurate frequency (60 Hz), like clocks, record turntables, and some other small motors (hair clippers, home audio cassette players, etc) won’t work unless you get a converter that converts the frequency AND voltage. Those are much more expensive (so it’s usually better to just get a new version there).
